Hi again.....

Im sorry I seemed to have vanished off the face of the earth, I moved house and then I was without internet for what seemed like forever! Then it was christmas, I have had a real busy few months. But I am glad to be back :)

I have been invited into some challenges for the new year and I thought I would post them here on my blog.

First off, there is a 'A day in the life' challenge over at Digital Scrap Cafe. Its kinda like a project 365, but instead of a layout a day, you scrap 1 layout a week. I thought one layout a week can't be that hard to keep up with, so I am gonna give it a go! Wish me luck, and I am hoping I dont suck at it too much considering I have never done a layout before LOL.

My second challenge for the year is '365 days of pictures'. Easy peasy - I just gotta take a photo everyday and post it to my blog. I take TONS of photos anywway so this should be a breeze :)

Better go and upload my photos - I'll be back soon with my first photo of the year!

A very late 'Tuesday Template'

Im sorry I could'nt get my freebie template up on Tuesday. My daughter has been ill in hospital so things have been very hectic around here.

She has got a viral infection, but her body was struggling to cope with it due to her prematuity and her size, but she is ok now though, thanks goodness!

Ok, so here is your late 'Tuesday Template'. Hey, that kinda rhymes. Lol! Anyway, today I have for you a template you can use to easily create spotted papers! It is a layered PSD file, and is 3600x3600 in 300dpi. As usual, the coloured example is not included.

A totally random post.....

I have needed a new camera for ages, after my daughter broke mine last year. I was so sick of using my cell phone to take pictures, so I bought a new camera - FINALLY! I didnt buy anything fancy but what I got is pretty neat and was a pretty good price too! This is what I got, the Canon Powershot A480. I would definatly recommend it!

Photobucket

I can't wait to do some mini photoshoots with my kiddos, but I did take some piccies of my youngest daughter the day I bought it. Here she is, my little preemie princess, Leoni Jayde. :)

And I just love this picture - one of her first smiles <3

She is almost 11 weeks old now, but still only weighs just over 8lbs. She is still in newborn clothes and nappies, everybody always comments on her tiny size.

Anyways, sorry for my totally random post. I will be back with a new kit very soon!

Another Justmommies blog train!

October is breast cancer awareness month, so the theme for this months blog train is 'Be Aware'.

Sadly, 1 women in 9 will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. It is important to be breast aware and know what is normal for you. Being breast aware means becoming familiar with how your breasts look and feel, whatever your age. Understand how your breasts may change at different times of the month (for example when you are on your period) and as you get older.

These are the changes to look for, and if you are in any doubt, see your doctor.

  • A lump or thickening which is different to the rest of the breast tissue
  • Continuous pain in one part of the breast or armpit
  • One breast becomes larger or lower
  • A nipple becomes inverted or changes shape or position
  • Skin changes including puckering or dimpling
  • Swelling under the armpit or around the collarbone
  • A rash on or around the nipple
  • Discharge from one or both nipples
Remember the breast awareness 5 point code:
  1. Know what is normal for you
  2. Look and feel
  3. Know what changes to look for
  4. Report any changes without delay
  5. Attend routine breast screening if you are aged 50 and over
Remember, be aware!

And now for the blog train. All the ladies that took part have some awesome freebies for you this month, so be sure to visit all the stops! Please remember though, some of us are in different timezones, so if you visit a blog and their part is not up yet please visit them again later :)

Hello again!

Gosh I have not update my blog in a while, and I certainly am not 43 weeks pregnant so I need to get rid of the pregnancy ticker lol. Alot has been going on for me lately so thats why I have not been around.

First off, I spent alot of time in hospital during my pregnancy, and I ended up having my baby prematurely. She was born on 9th August at 33w 6d and she weighed 4lb 11oz. She was in the NICU for 2 weeks before coming home, but apart from a few reflux issues she is perfectly healthy :) Her name is Leoni Jayde. Here are a few pics, I am sorry they are crappy. My mobile phone is'nt too good at taking pictures.

In the NICU:

Hello again :)

Its been a while, I hav'nt been designing or anything due to feeling so crappy. Pregnancy has really taken its toll on me this time around, but I finally started feeling better! So now that I am feeling better I decided to get back into Photoshop. I hav'nt made any kits or anything as yet...but I have been trying my hand at digital scrapbooking. Yep - I make scrap kits but I have never scrapped! LOL! I figured I better start scrapping. it may help me improve my kits when I finally get round to making more.

I hope to be back soon with a new kit.

6 weeks today!

Im exactly 6 weeks today - officially half way through they 1st trimester! :)

I had an ultrasound this morning. I was really nervous but it went well. Turns out I am not having twins though.. the lady who did the ultrasound could only see 1 sac. But she explained to me that sometimes when the egg implants in the uterus it can cause a bleed, which can sometimes be mistaken for an early gestational sac. I am ok with that though, I am perfectly happy with one baby <3

Anyway, all is good! Baby is in the right place, we saw the yolk sac, fetal pole and a HEARTBEAT!!! :D Here is my little baby <3

Photobucket

(the circle is the yolk sac, and the tiny blob joined onto that is baby)

I have another ultrasound booked for 17th Feb when I will be 9 weeks, so I hope to see more then.

Im back!

Sorry I havnt been posting your freebies these past few days. I was at the hospital on Friday night due to some pains I was having. I have had a previous ectopic so the hospital was a little worried so they kept me in overnight. Turns out my pains were being caused by a water infection *blush* They gave me some antibiotics to clear that up so I hope they work!

On saturday morning the doctor wanted me to have an ultrasound just to make sure there was nothing else going on as I had had a little bit of spotting but the u/s showed my tubes were clear, as were my ovaries which means that it is NOT ECTOPIC!! Wooohoooo :D

As I was only 4w 3d when they scanned me it was WAY to early to be able to see a baby. But the sonographer didnt find a gestational sac either - she found 2!
Both of the sacs were measuring between 4 and 5 weeks which means they are right on target!

I am still in shock lol! I have another u/s on the 27th of this month, I will be 6 weeks then so hopefully I will get to see both babies heartbeats <3 And I hope I get a pic at my my next one! They wouldnt give me one saturday as it was an emergency scan :(

Anyways, thats enough rambling about me lol.

guess what.....

Im pregnant! Yep, today I am exactly 4 weeks! I am scared due to previous losses in the past but I am trying to think positive :)
